A little write up I did for each of the topics – only copy/pasted this particular one though:

E. The USFG should substantially increase assistance for organic and/or sustainable agriculture in the United States.
This topic makes my inner hippie happy, excited even. The affirmative has a ton of ground here. Any plan that increases assistance (whatever that is – write answers to topicality) for organic and/or sustainable agriculture works. You get to choose local, state, or nationally focused plans. Think about increasing neighborhood gardens, subsidies for organic farms, and shutting down Monsanto… vote aff all day, every day. I also think this could spur real micro-political change outside of round. Education from this topic could help everyone in an awesome way.
If you are neg on this topic, have fun. It is a big topic, more so than most of the others, but it is manageable. Organic and sustainable are kind of similar enough that it is almost one topic. There are a lot of solvency arguments to be had as well as generic arguments to be discussed. As I previously mentioned, assistance allows for some procedural debate. It is an increase topic, so counter plans are back on the table, too.
