I want to thank again Nolan Pack from Pasadena City College and Shantal Voorwinden from Cerritos for volunteering their time. The sound is a bit low for Nolan’s first speech so you may need to increase the volume but it picks up later in the debate.
If you are headed to your first NFA-LD tournament this weekend hopefully this video will help you get an idea of what an NFA-LD round looks like.

I don’t think you care as much anymore but just because I am bored enough here’s the break down
Aff:
Plan: was remove cuba from the state sponsor of terror list and info/$ share
Advantage 1: War on terror – U: Soft Power low L: S/P k2 combat terrorism, I: Prolif/war
time ran out so he skipped ad 2
Neg:
T: Constructive Engagement requires verifiable milestones (yawn)
T: Constructive Engagement has 3 conditions (triple yawn)
DA: Russian relations – k2 prolif and oil shocks (not a bad idea but the uniqueness went the wrong way)
Solvency: Constructive Engagement fails
Advantage 1: no link-ish
Rebuttals:
Neg went for Russia in 1NR (Neg needed a consult Russia CP imo)
kicked the 1st T (didn’t do a good job answering the RVI on T)
went for the 2nd T (same here)
Aff went for something?? the tape malfunctioned and recorded the last 30 sec of the 2ar
it seems Nolan went for advantage 1 (I assume Nolan went for the RVIs but no proof)
btw danny, something is up with the comment boxes, it doesn’t end in the frames, it continues into the side bar and I cannot see some of my text while I write. IDK if anyone else is having problems with that or not, but not being able to read everything I write might make me look even more stupid then I usually do.
