NFA Results

Congratulations to all the debaters on a successful NFA National Championship tournament. Schools that regularly compete in Southern California had 8 entries in NFA-LD with a combined record of 23-25 and brought back 3 awards including two double octofinalist and one quarterfinalist award.

Hopefully next year we will have even more teams go and bring back national awards to our region!

Congrats to Will (5th) and Steve (7th) for their speaker awards. Top 10 at NFA is a big accomplishment!

p.s. We didn’t “lose” that quarters round, going down on record right now for my man Farias.

1. Congrats to the Tigers – top to bottom, coaches and debaters alike – for a SUPERLATIVE season; and congrats to the “Lone Wolf” they brought to NFA Nationals on a job well done!

2. I would certainly extend “West Coast Status” to the United States Air Force Academy (assuming, arguendo, that they want it).

3. I would urge ALL debaters on the West Coast with eligibility to get into NFA-LD.

LD is high-proof; Parli is mere Near-Beer. ;)

P.S. Kasey – welcome to the club! If there’s ever “do-overs” in debate, Colby and I didn’t “lose” to KU in the NDT Semis, either! ;) ;)
