Delicious.com Project – tag with Cuba-LD

Recently I have been enamored with the social bookmarking site Delicious. The way the site works is that you tag websites with keywords that are then saved as bookmarks in a database. To access your bookmarks you then go to the delicious web page (or various browser plugins – here is one for firefox). But the beauty is not the storage – it’s the social aspect of Delicious.

The site lets you search everyone’s bookmarks! So if you tag a website with a keyword like “debate” the website allows you to see all the other websites that other people have also tagged with debate.

So, to get to the point, I’m hoping we can start a SoCal-LD.net Delicious project. As you are surfing the web doing research you are invariably bookmarking or coming across interesting websites that can be used for this year’s topic. What I’d like to start doing is having everyone whose interested bookmark with a special tag – Cuba-LD – so that everyone can find interesting sites. These would not have to be full positions or ready to use arguments – just websites or news articles that you think would be helpful to debaters doing NFA-LD.

Here are a few sites that I’ve tagged with the new keyword. I think this is a good way to start sharing because everyone will just be able to visit the site – not necessarily download your entire case file or anything!

Hi Danny,

Things are so busy, but here’s one my student Angel sent me. I don’t think you have it on there; hoping you can post it. Let me know about the Feb. 15 tournament and also subscribing as an author. sek

Another excellent suggestion sir!

When I get it figured out I would be glad to participate.
