Some files From El Camino
Francesca Bishop, debate coach at El Camino College, sent in these introductory files for NFA-LD to be posted on the blog – thanks! It’s great that we are starting to develop a community of NFA-LD debate schools who are willing to help everyone out with free evidence to get started. No need to give away everything but a few files to help out new debaters and programs is well appreciated.
Here is a good definition against FGM or other cultural practices. HR = freedom to do what you want, and the people are free to do FGM or not, so it doesn’t count as a Human right.
Here is some great strategy against many popular cases including child soldiers, food aid (plumpy nut), and a minor repair position that is really interested. It argues that simply increasing budget allocation is an extension of the status quo not a change. Look for a more detailed post on minor repair in the future.
A few rules violation positions – remember that the rules say all evidence is supposed to be qualified when it is first presented and a good speed bad shell.
