Possible 2007-2008 Resolutions
Here are the 5 resolutions that were voted on for next year:
A. RESOLVED: That the United States Federal Government should substantially increase assistance to the Greater Horn of Africa in one of the following areas: economic development, human rights protection, or public health.
B. RESOLVED: That the United States Federal Government should substantially increase its assistance to the African Union.
C. RESOLVED: That the United States Federal Government should substantially increase its humanitarian aid to the Greater Horn of Africa.
D. RESOLVED: That the United States Federal Government should substantially alter its agricultural policy toward Africa.
E. RESOLVED: That the United States Federal Government should substantially increase the conservation of natural resources in one or more of the following African nations: Angola, Cote D’Ivoire, Madagascar, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zambia.

While I certainly think debaters should take some time off between seasons I think it would be great to start reading up on Africa and trying to read any articles regarding Africa over the summer. Here are some preliminary links that I think would be helpful:
