Contribute to this site!
Hey Everyone,
so this year proved pretty successful for the site with about 5,000 hits throughout the year. We had a few schools compete in NFA-LD in the So Cal area. Congrats to Biola, Cal Baptist, Cerritos, Glendale-Arizona, NAU, Univ of the Pacific, San Diego Christian, and UC San Diego for making the first year exciting and fun. Now that the CC state championships has NFA-LD as well as the CC nationals, I’m expecting at least 5-6 more schools in the area to start competing along with a bunch of new schools across the country.
I’m asking anyone who would like to help grow the event to contribute anything and everything that you used this year for NFA-LD. One of the best things the website offers are examples on how to structure positions. I’ve found that most people want to research the position on their own/fill in with new cards/arguments – but having a structure helps students a lot in approaching the topic.
John Boyer’s information that he sent me at the beginning of the year was incredible helpful. Just to see what cases, disadvantages, T shells looked like for this event set us on the path to competing.
I’d be more than happy to give you credit for the work (“Thanks to …. from …”) and would really appreciate the help.
Additionally, this summer I’ll be looking for a few new contributors to the site for next year. If this is something you’d be interested in please contact me. No money involved =) The goal for the site was to have multiple contributors post at least 1 thing (evidence, instructional, tournaments, interesting articles, etc…) per week. That way we’d have a few new posts each week and the content would stay fresh. And if one person was too busy to post there would be other people filling in with posts.
Anyway, thanks for everyone’s help throughout the year. The site will go on a bit of a hiatus during summer but I’m hoping to post a few theory pieces and background information.
Please email me at info@socal-ld.net .
Thanks,
Danny Cantrell
