I want to personally thank Danny Cantrell for all that he has done to promote NFA-LD in Southern California. His efforts are unprecedented, in terms of the free evidence, registration fees and theory he is willing to just give away. I am absolutely sure that NFA-LD will grow VERY quickly in SoCal, and it will be thanks to Danny. Well done, Danny!
Danny has also asked that I start contributing to this here blog. I don’t hav any thing enlightening to add at the moment, except some evidence. As such I present you with the Consumer Spending DA. This disadvantage says that when renewable energy increases, the cost of energy increases. Renewables are more expensive to convert into energy than fossil fuels are now, the plan forces renewables into the market at a higher cost. That means the energy companies have to charge more money for their energy which results in higher costs for consumers. The consumer then have less money to spend, slowing the growth of the economy. The economy is key to US leadership which is key to preventing nuclear war (thanks Zalmay!).
One quick note. This is only two pages of evidence. There aren’t 20 pages of extensions. In NFA-LD, you don’t have time to read a bunch of cards. Especially in your neg rebuttal, you’ll only read 2-3 cards total. My advice is go out a cut a page or two worth of extensions for this disadvantage. Before every tournament, cut a uniqueness extension or two that say the economy is increasing now. Maybe go out and find some link extensions. Other than that, you won’t need any more cards on the disad.
